Benefits

The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities provides a grant at the rate of Rs. 1,000/- per month per beneficiary

Eligibility

1. The age of the applicant should be 18 years or more.
2. Applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.
3. Should have a minimum of 40 percent disability.
4. The person getting pension/grant/assistance under the applicant's old age pension, widow pension, socialist pension or any other similar scheme and the person receiving free maintenance in government institutions/homes should not be eligible.
5. The annual income of the applicant or his family is within the definition of the poverty line (currently fixed at Rs. 46,080/-in rural areas and Rs. 56,460/- per family per year in urban areas) will be eligible for the grant.

Document Required

1. Passport size colour photograph.
2. Date of Birth/Age certificate.
3. Disability certificate
